We hope you have all had a well deserved rest during the summer break.

School will re-open to pupils on Wednesday 2nd September.

Welcome to Stratton C of E Primary School

Taking pride in the care of our pupils

Stratton C. of E. Primary School, although housed in modern buildings, has a tradition that dates back to 1815. We have  seven classes which cater for children aged 4 – 11 years. There are approximately 215 children on roll.

We pride ourselves that we are small enough in number to know everyone well and yet retain the caring atmosphere that is crucial to good schools. Children are known as individuals and build up excellent relationships with the staff.

Our buildings are purpose made, providing us with first-rate accommodation that is well maintained. We have a large hall, a central ICT area and a number of smaller work rooms which are heavily used giving children specialist teaching opportunities.

Outside the children have beautiful grounds giving us lots of space for play. This includes a large playing field area, an adventure playground, three playgrounds and an amphitheatre to enhance outdoor teaching.

Additionally we have a conservation area with a pond and each class has their own dedicated garden growing bed.

The school site is shared with the village hall and we enjoy close links with the community of Stratton and with the Parish Church of St.Peter's, Stratton.

Safe and Secure

We set out to make this school a happy and caring place where children can come each day and find a continuity that will give them a strong sense of belonging and security.

We try to be demanding, setting targets and standards in work and discipline that will challenge the children which, with effort, should be achieved. We also ensure that learning is enjoyable, building upon children’s natural curiosity.

Lots more to discover…

Please have a look at our Class Pages to find out what the children have been working on recently. You may also find information in our latest newsletter which is of interest to you.

We hope you find the information on our website useful. However, if you wish to arrange a visit or would like further details please do not hesitate to contact us.
