Welcome back, we hope you all had a restful half term. We are excited to have the children back for a busy second term. We have lots to look forward to and prepare for, including our first Christmas performance. Parents' evenings are 9th and 11th November and we look forward to meeting you all again and discussing your child's progress.
For more information on our learning this term please see the topic web below.
The children have had a fantastic first term at Stratton. We have been learning all about our class and school rules, getting to know each other, making friends, looking after ourselves and our classroom and learning new routines.
We have started to learn our phonics and we are using these skills to start becoming super readers. We have also been learning about patterns and numbers and spotting different representations and compositions of numbers.
In RE we have been thinking about why the word God is special to Christians and we have started to learn our school prayer and our Christian values. This week we painted lots of fruits and vegetables for our harvest display and we are looking forward to our first trip to Stratton Church.
