Welcome to Term 6!

This term's topic is The Scented Garden.

This term our topic is a Science based one of ‘Scented Garden’  As we will be learning about plants in Science this term.  We are very excited about our school trip on Thursday 8^th July.  In English, in non-fiction this term we will be exploring the text ‘The Day the Crayons Quit’ and writing our own persuasive letters. We will also be writing a recount of our trip to Lower Moor Farm.  In maths we will be learning about statistics and the measurement of capacity and temperature. In Art we will be working in 3D using found objects, clay and plaster. In computing we will be learning about digital literacy and discussing the internet and why we use computers.  In geography we will be learning all about world maps and also to help meet the core requirement for pupils to expand their knowledge and understanding beyond the local area to include a small area in Bangladesh, a contrasting non-European country.  In PSHE this term we will learn all about Growing and Changing. 

Welcome to Term 5!

Topic: Wriggle and Crawl

This term our topic is a Science based one of ‘Wriggle and Crawl’!  As we will be learning about Living things and their habitats in Science this term.   In English in fiction this term we will be exploring the story ‘The Building Boy’ and in non-fiction we will be exploring writing about our feelings.  In maths we will be learning position and direction, fractions and time. In DT we will be learning about mechanisms and making pictures move! In history we will be learning all about the first aeroplane flight.
