Welcome Letter Sept 2019

Dear Parents and Carers,

As we start a new academic year, I would like to take the opportunity to welcome you all to a new year of learning at Stratton. I hope you all had a restful and enjoyable break and that the children are refreshed, energised and enthusiastic for school and all the challenges that this new school year will bring.

For governors, the start of a school year is an opportunity to reflect on the previous year and plan for the coming year, to ensure our school continues to provide the best education for our children. Attached is our annual Governance Statement detailing the work our governing board did last year and the impact of this. It also provides information about our areas of focus for the year ahead. For more information, please visit the ‘Governor’ section of our website.

Stratton Primary School is a wonderful place to learn and all our Governors are immensely proud of the fantastic achievements of those attending and working at the school. The active support of our parents is central to the on-going success of our school and we are grateful that so many parents engage so positively with all aspects of school life, thank you on behalf of our governing board for your continued support.

We now have two Parent Governor vacancies on our governing board and will shortly be advertising for these roles, along with further information on what it means to be a school governor. In the meantime, if you would like to know more please do get in touch via the school office to arrange an informal chat with one of our governors.

Best wishes,

Sarah John

Chair of Governors
