Stratton School’s PTA are parents of pupils working together with the teachers to help raise money for school supplies, and generally supporting our school's efforts.  In the coming months the PTA will, unfortunately, be unable to organise the events we normally would do. However we will try to do as much as we can in as safe a way as possible in the light of the COVID-19 restrictions; it’d be great if we can all support the PTA and school during these challenging times so we can raise lots of funds and create more opportunities for the children!  If you have any ideas we can use for fundraising during this time then please let us know.

Next PTA Meeting - Monday 11th January 2021

All parents are very welcome to attend!  As we’re unable to meet as a group, it will be a virtual meeting on Zoom. This will be a different way of doing our meeting, but hopefully it’ll work effectively and means you can easily attend from your home!

2019-20 Report

Despite not being able to organise any events over the past 6 months, 2019-2020 was a busy fundraising year for the PTA. Starting the Financial Year with an opening balance of just over £4000 the PTA were able to support the purchase of the final set of  Chromebooks for School to by making a contribution of £3000, part of which also went towards Outdoor Learning opportunities for all pupils.

One of the main events organised by the PTA was the Summer Fayre which brought together individual Class stalls, external stall holders and lots of food, games and fun! With sponsorship from Local estate agents Leaders and generous support from all, the profit from the Fayre was over £3000.

Throughout the year the PTA hosted an afternoon of Family Bingo, school disco’s continued to be popular as always and we also introduced after school cake sales which took place every half term and were organised by different classes, all of which were an excellent source of funds and enjoyed by many.

The Christmas Fayre, which included a kind donation from SJP for raffle prizes, made a profit of over £2000 and hugely successful sponsored Flipathon for Pancake day made in excess of £1800. As a result of the support for these events the PTA were able to give £3800 to school for improvements to Class R Groundworks and cover the costs of the I-Sing Pop event which involved the whole school.

The abrupt end to the 2019-2020 financial year unfortunately meant we had to cancel our Curry and Quiz night planned for March but left a healthy closing balance ready for future investment in the school and our children.

The PTA is very grateful to all the staff, parents and children that help at the events, none of this would be possible without your support.
