Love your neighbour as yourself Mark 12 29-31
At Stratton C of E School, we encourage and support our children to be courageous advocates. This means they champion causes which are special and meaningful to them. These may be global issues or matters far more personal and closer to home. They also learn about courageous advocates throughout history and begin to understand why they did what they did.
We look at the link between courageous advocacy and Christian faith through the retelling of Bible stories and finding out about famous courageous people.
What is Courageous Advocacy?
Taking social action – coming together to tackle an issue, support each other or improve our local area
Doing things for the common good
Speaking out against injustice
Becoming agents of change (making a difference!)
Empowering pupils to be active global citizens
