Term 1

This week, in spite of it being our eighth week of term, we have kept up the hard work.  We have completed our Tyger collages in art, we have written story narratives in English, we have written essays on globalisation and we have sung our hearts out for Harvest.  The children are certainly deserving of their half term break.  We look forward to seeing everyone refreshed in Term 2.

This week, we enjoyed a break from the usual timetable with a geometry workshop.  We spent a morning solving puzzles.  We definitely had to use our emerald power to persevere but as a result we all experienced much success.  This week, we also led tours around the school and it was heart-warming to hear the comments from the parents saying how polite and knowledgeable they were.  We were then rewarded with a muddy session in Forest School making dens and Christmas gonks!

This week in class 6, we have made hopes and dreams flags, had fun acting out mini plays in wellbeing, published our formal speeches and have finished having lunch with our buddies after three weeks of teaching them independence.

This week in class 6, we have been starting to learn about living things and their habitats in science, learned about Lubaina Himid in art and we have started to write speeches about a problem we think is going on in the world. In wellbeing, we have enjoyed our experiment with mouldy bread to see what environment microbes like best. We also really love our forest school sessions on Wednesday afternoons on alternate weeks.
